Pune: Man Kills Sister-In-Law Due To Family Dispute; Incident In Vadgaonsheri Area
Vadgaonsheri, 12th November 2022: The incident of a brother-in-law stabbing his sister-in-law and killing her took place in the Vadgaonsheri area of Pune yesterday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Lakshmibai Sriram (54), a resident of Vidi Kamgar Vasahat, Chandannagar. Accused Srinivas Sriram has been arrested in this case.
There was an argument between Lakshmibai and Srinivas. Sagar Ramesh Dasa (39), a resident of Marutinagar, Vadgaonsheri, is a friend of Srinivas. There was a religious program at Sagar’s house on Friday (November 11) afternoon. He had called Lakshmibai home. Sagar and his wife had gone out for work. At that time Srinivas killed Lakshmibai by stabbing her with a knife.
After Sagar and his wife came home, then they saw that Lakshmibai was seriously injured. The incident was then reported to the police. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Rohidas Pawar and Assistant Commissioner Kishore Jadhav visited the spot.
During the investigation, it was learned that Srinivas had killed Lakshmibai. Then, under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Landage of Chandannagar Police Station, Sub-Inspector Arvind Kumre, Constables Sachin Kute, Ramchandra Gurav, Nanasaheb Pature, Shekhar Shinde, Anup Sangle etc. caught Srinivas who had escaped.
