Pune: Man Kills Wife For Complaining Against His Beatings To Mother-In-Law

Pune, 7th July 2022: A man allegedly killed his wife in Hadapsar for complaining to her mother-in-law that her husband was beating her after drinking alcohol. He also attacked his wife’s sister who came to settle the quarrel and seriously injured her.

The name of the deceased woman is Nandini Hanumant Pawar (19). The injured have been identified as Komal Vaijnath Landage (22), both residents of Sadestaranali, Hadapsar. Hanumant Dhondiba Pawar (22) has been arrested by Hadapsar police in this case. Manika Shivaji Kamble (55) has lodged a complaint.

 

Nandini and Hanumant got married two years ago. They have a six-month-old daughter and Nandini was living with her mother in the Hadapsar area to take care of her daughter. Also, her elder sister stays there. Hanumant is a labourer and reportedly addicted to alcohol.

 

Police officials said that he was repeatedly beating his wife after drinking. On Tuesday night, when he came to the area, he beat Nandini with a belt. So Nandini told her mother-in-law that her husband was beating her. Due to his anger, Hanumant, who was intoxicated, stabbed his wife to death saying that he would not leave her.

 

At the same time, he attacked and injured Komal who came to save her sister. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Police Somnath Padsalkar.
