Pune: Man Arrested For Assaulting Traffic Policeman For Questioning
Pune, 7th July 2022: A man was arrested by the Wanwadi police for pushing a traffic officer who was questioning him for riding a two-wheeler from ‘No-Entry’. The incident took place on July 5 at around 5.30 pm near the Golibar Maidan.
The arrested man has been identified as Shafaq Ashfaq Sheikh (26), a resident of Kausarbagh, Kondhwa. Policeman Amar Salve has lodged a complaint at the Wanwadi police station in this regard.
According to police, Salve was regulating traffic in the area near the Golibar Maidan. At that time, he questioned Shafaq, who came from No Entry on a two-wheeler. Getting angry during the questioning, Shafaq kicked and beat Salve while using abusive language.
