Pune Man Loses Three Teeth For Honking On New Year’s Night, Three Assailants At Large

Chandan Nagar, 6th January 2024: In a shocking incident on the first night of the New Year, a 29-year-old man, identified as Amit Baban Jaibhai, was brutally attacked by three individuals for honking while driving with a friend on the Kharadi-Mundhwa bypass road.

The assault resulted in the victim losing three teeth and sustaining serious injuries. A case has been registered against the unidentified assailants based on Jaibhai’s complaint.

Jaibhai and his friend were driving in a four-wheeler around 3:30 AM on January 1 when a driver in another vehicle recklessly drove in front of them. Two individuals from that vehicle shouted, prompting Jaibhai to honk the horn in response. Enraged, the occupants of the other vehicle verbally abused Jaibhai.

Later, when Jaibhai and his friend stopped for tea, the three assailants caught up with them. An argument ensued, with the attackers alleging excessive honking. Subsequently, one of the assailants kicked Jaibhai in the face, resulting in the breaking of three upper teeth and half of the lower teeth. The attackers continued to assault Jaibhai, leaving him seriously injured.

Based on Jaibhai’s complaint, a case has been registered at the Chandan Nagar Police Station against the three unidentified youths. The police are actively searching for the assailants, and the investigation is ongoing.

Sub-Inspector Tanaji Shegar is further investigating the case.
