Pune: Man Marries 15-Year-Old Girl, Three Persons Booked By Police

Wakad, 10th March 2021: Even after knowing that the bride was a minor, a man married her. A case in this regard has been registered against the man and his parents. The incident took place at Kalewadi on October 2, 2019.
The accused persons have been identified as Iskapandi, his father Shankar Muthu and mother Mangeshwari. All accused are residents of Middle Street, Keela Theru, Kovil Puram in Tamil Nadu.
A 32-year-old woman has lodged an FIR against them at Wakad police station under Pimpri Chinchwad Police. According to police, the matter came to light when the minor girl became nine-months pregnant.
A case in this regard was earlier registered at the AWPS police station in Nanguneri, Tamil Nadu. The case has now been shifted to Wakad police station for further investigation as the incident took place.
