Pune: Man Seeks Divorce Citing Low IQ Of Wife, Petition Allowed By Court After Woman Fails To Appear
Pune 8th August 2023: In a landmark judgement delivered by the court in Pune, a divorce petition of a man who got married just two years ago was allowed after he cited low IQ of his wife as reason and claimed that he suffered mental and physical harassment from her. The woman did not appear in the court following which the court delivered a verdict in husband’s favour.
According to reports, the couple got married in 2021 and since then the husband has been experiencing her behaviour which according to him was due to low IQ and needed a treatment. However, the woman’s family members refused to entertain his request of getting treatment for her. At last, the complainant approached the court seeking divorce in the matter.
However, since nobody from the woman’s side appeared in the court it was accepted that all the claims made by the husband were true and the divorce petition was allowed.
