Pune: Man Threatens Woman Of Acid Attack Because She Refused To Marry

Pune, October 30, 2020: A 33-year-old man had allegedly threatened a woman of an acid attack and murder of her father as she refused to marry him. The accused was arrested by Hadapsar police.
The accused has been identified as Arun Babasaheb Khadtare (33). The young woman knew Arun because he had harassed her several times.
According to the Hadapsar police, on October 20 the accused visited her residence and pursued her for marriage. He had molested her after she rejected his proposal. When her parents tried to intervene he threatened to kill the woman’s father and throw acid on her if she won’t accept his marriage proposal. Following the incident, a complaint was filed by her family at the Hadapsar Police station.
