Pune: Man Who Accompanied Daughter For Police Recruitment Dies in Hit-and-Run
Shivajinagar, 13th March 2023: A man who had brought his daughter to Pune for police recruitment has tragically died in an accident. The deceased, Suresh Sakharam Gawli (55) of Nashik, was hit by a vehicle on University Road while walking towards Hardikar Hospital for tea at roadside stall after dropping his daughter off at the police ground in Shivajinagar.
The incident occurred around 5 am today. The Shivajinagar Police are conducting further investigations, and a case has been registered against the unknown vehicle driver.
According to officials, the father and daughter arrived in Pune and were staying on a footpath as they couldn’t afford hotel accomodation.
