Woman Passenger Arrested For Punching And Biting CISF Officer At Pune Airport

Viman Nagar, 13th March 2023: A 24-year-old female passenger was arrested for assaulting a woman officer of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the Pune airport. The accused, identified as Gunjan Rajeshkumar Aggarwal from West Bengal, was involved in an argument with the cab driver over the fare when the driver sought help from the Airport Authority.

When Airport Manager Bhakti Lulla intervened, Gunjan started creating a ruckus and arguing with her and the CISF inspector, Rupali Thoke. She punched both of them and even bit Inspector Thoke’s left thumb.

Inspector Thoke filed a complaint at the Vimantal police station, and Gunjan has been arrested on charges of obstructing government work. Police sub-inspector Vaka is currently investigating the case.

The incident caused inconvenience to other passengers waiting in line at the airport entrance. The authorities have taken strict action against the accused and have urged passengers to maintain decorum and follow the rules at the airport.
