Shivajinagar, 14th November 2024: Manish Anand, an independent candidate contesting the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly seat, has intensified his campaign by promising key initiatives for the Bopodi area. Speaking at a rally held in Bopodi Gaothan on Tuesday evening, Anand garnered significant support from the local community, engaging with residents to address their concerns and outline his plans for the area.

One of the standout proposals from Anand’s campaign is the establishment of a free public library, named the “Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Center of Knowledge.” This library will be particularly beneficial for students from slum and settlement areas, where educational opportunities are limited. Anand stated that the facility, which will be set up with state government assistance, will provide students—especially those preparing for competitive exams like MPSC and UPSC—access to study materials and a conducive learning environment at no cost.

Anand also addressed critical sanitation issues plaguing Bopodi’s slums. He pledged to work with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to improve sanitation infrastructure in these areas. In addition, creating job opportunities for local youth remains a top priority for Anand, who vowed to bring about initiatives to generate employment in the region.

On Wednesday, Anand’s campaign gained further momentum with rallies across Khairwadi, Chafekar Nagar, and Anand Yashoda, as he continued to connect with voters and share his vision for the constituency.
