Pune: Maratha Reservation Movement Gains Ground With Chain Hunger Strike In Baramati

Pune, 26th October 2023: The movement initiated by Manoj Jarange Patil regarding the Maratha reservation issue has garnered a spontaneous and widespread response from the Maratha community throughout the Maharashtra state. In Baramati, a chain hunger strike has been initiated on behalf of the Baramati Maratha Kranti Morcha.

This chain hunger strike involves a symbolic one-day food sacrifice movement, and it is set to take place in various locations. On Sunday (29th October) and Monday (30th October), the movement will be observed at Khandaj, Malad, Pahunewadi, Nirawaghaj, Ghadgewadi, and then on Tuesday (31st October) at Sangvi, Shirvali, Kambleshwar, Laate, Sirshane, and Bajrangwadi. The chain food sacrifice protest is scheduled for Wednesday (1st November) and will be held at Malegaon, Malegaon Khurd, Panadare, Dhakale, and Sonkaswadi.

Maratha Kranti Morcha representatives have announced their intention to stage a symbolic one-day food sacrifice in front of the new administrative office in Baramati cities.

In a related development, political leaders have faced village bans in several locations within Baramati taluka. Specifically, the entry of political leaders has been restricted in two villages, namely Medad and Undavadisupe.
