Pune: Married Woman Gang-Raped By Husband And Five Friends, FIR Registered
Pune, 25th June 2023:A horrifying incident has come to light where a 23-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by her husband and five of his friends. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
The victim’s father filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a case against her husband, a resident of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) district, and others at Market Yard Police Station, Pune.
According to the police, the victim had been facing continuous abuse from her husband, prompting her to return to her home in Pune. However, on February 27, 2020, her husband visited her in Pune and called her outside. It was at this point that she was sexually assaulted by her husband and five of his friends. During the assault, the accused recorded the heinous act on a mobile phone. They subjected her to repeated abuse, threatening to circulate the video if she dared to report the incident to the police.
Following a court order, Market Yard Police registered a case in relation to this shocking incident. Further investigation is going on in the case.
