Pune: Massive Turnout at ‘Na Bhuto Na Bhavishyati’ Ravan Dahan Ceremony in Pimple Saudagar

Pimple Saudagar, 25th October 2023: In a magnificent spectacle witnessed by thousands, the grand divine “Na Bhuto Na Bhavishyati” Ravana Dahan ceremony was successfully conducted in Pimple Saudagar. This elaborate event took place on the evening of Vijayadashami, October 24, 2023, at 6 pm. It was initiated by former corporator Shatrughan Kate and was organized under the banner of the Shatrughan Kate Youth Foundation, guided by Jaynath Kate. The Ravana Dahana ceremony not only captivated the residents of Pimple Saudagar but also drew the attention of the entire city of Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune.
A towering effigy of Ravana, standing at 120 feet, was set ablaze with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” The highlight of the event was the captivating portrayal of Hanuman by Sunil Anil Tilakdhari, hailing from Hisar, Haryana. The crowd was further entertained by renowned personalities, including Hrutha Durgule from “Time Pass-3,” Akshaya Deodhar from “Tujhat Jeev Rangala,” and celebrated actor-director Praveen Tarde, who engaged with the audience in their style, performing beloved songs and reciting famous movie dialogues.
The celebration featured a 20-minute Ramayana drama performed by the children of the Mohanji Center Pune at Pimple Saudagar. Additionally, members of Kunal More’s Dance Floor Studio enchanted the gathering with their dance performances set to various songs. Sunil Anil Tilakdhari, in his role as Mahadev, performed a spectacular Tandava dance.
The burning of Ravana symbolizes victory over ten negative tendencies, including lust, pride, ego, infatuation, anger, greed, envy, hatred, fear, etc. It signifies the triumph of truth over falsehood and knowledge over ignorance. The event was graced by the presence of prominent figures, including Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Executive Member Prakash Mitbhakare, Kunal Sathe of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, former MLA Vilas Lande, and many other esteemed individuals from the social, cultural, educational, and spiritual realms.
The collective efforts of the corporator Shatrughan Kate Youth Foundation and the unwavering support of the dignitaries, citizens, police administration, transport department officials, fire brigade, and municipal authorities contributed to the resounding success of the grand Ravana Dahan event in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune city. The event was emceed by Chetan Aggarwal, Neetu Aggarwal, and RJ Akshay, who ensured its smooth flow and vibrant atmosphere.
