Pune: Maval Lok Sabha Candidate Shrirang Barne, a 10th Pass, Surprises with Billionaire Status: Assets at Rs 132 Crore

Maval, 22nd April 2024: Mahayuti’s candidate from Maval, Shrirang Barne, is a billionaire, with properties valued at Rs 132 crore 23 lakh 91 thousand 631, showing an increase of Rs 29 crore 42 lakh 81 thousand 497 over the past five years. His wealth was disclosed in the affidavit submitted with his election application. Barne, aged 60, completed his 10th standard in March 2022.
During the last Lok Sabha elections in 2019, while filing nomination papers, the Barne family declared assets worth Rs 102 crores 81 lakh 10 thousand. At that time, Barne’s assets were Rs 83 crore 17 lakh 46 thousand, and his wife Sarita’s assets were Rs 19 crore 63 lakh. In 2024, the total wealth of the Barne family rose to Rs 132 crore 24 lakhs. Barne himself possesses movable and immovable property valued at Rs 106 crores 55 lakhs, while his wife Sarita’s assets are worth Rs 25 crores 68 lakhs.
Barne holds deposits totalling Rs 26 lakhs, and his wife holds deposits of Rs 12 lakhs. Their occupations include agriculture, building, and brick manufacturing. They also have investments in term deposits, savings deposits, shares, insurance policies, and share capital in various banks. Additionally, he has provided loans to six individuals.
Barne owns two cars, a Mercedes Benz and a Toyota Fortuner, along with a diamond ring valued at Rs 11 lakh 55 thousand and 470 grams of gold worth Rs 32 lakh 50 thousand. He also possesses a Wembley & Scott revolver valued at Rs 35 thousand. Sarita owns earrings worth Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand and 51 lakh 743 grams of gold. Barne’s vehicle is worth Rs 44 lakh, and he has a total loan of Rs 85 lakh, including Rs 41 lakh from various institutions.
MP Barne owns agricultural land in three locations in Maval taluka, as well as in Mulshi taluka. He also possesses non-agricultural land in Tathawade, Charholi, and Thergaon, along with four commercial and three residential buildings in Thergaon.
