Pune, 8th December 2021: MCA West Zone, United Sports Club and Deccan Gymkhana entered in the semifinal round on basis of their first-innings lead at the “PYC-Filtrum Challenger Trophy” Invitation Under-25 3day Men’s Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played at PYC Cricket ground, Aryans Cricket Ground and Loni Ground here today
MCA West Zone thanks to a 3rd wicket partnership between Sudhakar Bhosale (101 runs) and Aniket Nalawade (93 runs) of 115 runs in 108 Balls put on 377 runs for a loss of 8 wickets in their second innings after taking a 122 runs first-innings lead against MCA West Zone.
In the second match, United Sports Club which took a 39 run lead against DVCA put on 417 runs for a loss of 9 wicket in their second innings thanks to big scores by Nikhil Joshi 159 (294,23×4,1×6), Saurabh Singh 106(135,14×4,1×6), and Sandeep Shinde 73 (109,11×4,1×6),
United sports Club Right Arm fast bowler Anand Thenge(8-56 & 1-46) the. Restricted DVCA to 199 runs for the loss of 4 wickets as the match ended in a tame draw.
Deccan Gymkhana which took a 95 runs first innings lead against Kedar Jadhav Cricket academy also made it to the last four Dhiraj Phatangare 90(64,10×4,6×6) excelled for Deccan Gymkhana in the first inning.
