Pune Mega Rail Block: 16 Trains Cancelled, 18 Diverted Between May 15 and 19

Pune, 14th May 2026: Passengers travelling through the Pune Division of Central Railway are set to face significant disruptions as the Railway Administration has announced cancellations, diversions, regulations and rescheduling of multiple trains in connection with infrastructure and safety upgradation works under the Daund–Manmad Doubling Project.

The railway will undertake a Pre-Non Interlocking (Pre-NI) and Non-Interlocking (NI) block at the Akolner–Ahmednagar–Nimblak section, affecting train operations between May 15 and May 19, 2026.

Among the major cancellations, Train No. 12114 Nagpur–Pune Express will remain cancelled on May 15, 16 and 17, while Train No. 12113 Pune–Nagpur Express will remain cancelled on May 16 and 18. Pune–Gorakhpur Special (01415) and Gorakhpur–Hadapsar Special (01416) have also been fully cancelled during the block period.

Several special and express trains including Pune–Danapur Special, Nagpur–Pune Express, Dadar–Sainagar Shirdi Express, Hadapsar–Jhansi Special and Pune–Jabalpur Special have also been cancelled on select dates.

The railway has also diverted several long-distance trains through alternative routes to facilitate the infrastructure work. Hadapsar–Nanded Express and Nanded–Hadapsar Express will operate via Daund, Kurduwadi, Latur Road and Parbhani instead of their regular route during May 15 to 17.

Similarly, trains including Nizamuddin–Yesvantpur Express, Pune–Amravati Express, Bengaluru–New Delhi Express, Jammu Tawi–Pune Express and Pune–Gorakhpur Express will run on diverted routes through Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik Road and Manmad.

Train No. 22590 Hadapsar–Banaras Express and Train No. 22589 Banaras–Hadapsar Express will skip halts at Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar and Kopargaon on the affected dates. Additional stoppages have been provided at Panvel, Kalyan and Nashik Road stations.

The railway administration has also announced regulation of select trains over the Manmad–Nimblak section. Danapur–Hadapsar Special will be regulated for three hours on May 15, while Nizamuddin–Vasco Express will face delays ranging from one to one-and-a-half hours between May 15 and 17.

In addition, Train No. 01432 Ghazipur City–Hadapsar Special scheduled on May 17 will depart four hours late from its originating station, while Pune–Howrah Duronto Express scheduled on May 18 will depart 30 minutes later than its scheduled timing.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check updated train schedules and running status before commencing their journey through the official National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the official NTES mobile application.

According to the railway administration, the infrastructure block is part of the ongoing Daund–Manmad Doubling Project aimed at enhancing operational safety and improving railway capacity in the section.
