Pune-Mehkar ST Bus Accident Claims Six Lives: Chief Minister Announces Compensation for Deceased Victims’ Families
Mumbai, 23rd May 2023: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed deep condolences regarding the tragic accident involving a Pune to Mehkar ST bus and a container truck near Palaskhedi Chakka village in Sindkheda Raja (Buldhana district) this morning.
The accident has claimed the lives of six individuals, while ten others have sustained injuries. The Chief Minister has promptly instructed the ST Corporation to provide immediate financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased.
He has directed the authorities to ensure that the injured passengers receive necessary medical treatment at government expense.
Upon being informed about the incident, the Chief Minister promptly sought details from the transport department and urged the administration to extend support to the affected passengers and their relatives during this difficult time.
