Pune: Mephedrone Drug Worth Rs 10.76 Lakh Seized Which Were To Be Sold In New Year Party
Pune, 28th December 2022: The Anti-Narcotics Squad – 2 of Pune city police has arrested a smuggler who was preparing to sell mephedrone (MD) at a hotel party in the Pune Station area on the eve of New Year. Mephedrone worth Rs 10.76 lakh, two-wheeler, mobile phone have been seized from him.
The arrested smuggler has been identified as Dhiraj Rajesh Kamble (22) of Lakshminagar Yerawada.
Acting on a tip-off received by Police Constables Yogesh Mandhare and Prashant Bomadandi, a team led by Police Inspector Sunil Thopte laid a trap and nabbed Kamble in the Pune station area. An FIR was registered against him at Bund Garden police station.
The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Crime) Amol Zende and ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar. The team included Police Inspector Sunil Thopte, Sub-Inspector Digambar Chavan, and personnel Yogesh Mandhare, Prashant Bomadandi, Santosh Deshpande, Sandeep Jadhav, Chetan Gaikwad, Ravindra Rokade, Sahil Syed, Azim Shaikh and Dinesh Bastewad.
