Pune: India’s largest luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz India today announced it has retailed 4857 units in the January-June 2021 period buoyed by new product introductions, recording a robust 65% growth over the same period last year. The June 2021 retail, in particular, signifies the first signs of a strong recovery in customer sentiments influenced by factors like new product portfolio and gradual unlocking of markets leading to an uptick in economic activities.

Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented, “Our H1 2021 sales growth is in line with the market sentiments and strongly underlines a continuing high customer demand for models. We have built a solid order bank on the back of new launches and it is highly satisfying to witness an all-round rise in demand for our products across the portfolio.
