Pune Metro Plans To Complete Work On Remaining Two Corridors Before December
Pune 17th August 2023: The Metro connectivity in the city is likely to extend further in the current year as Pune Metro officials have planned to complete the work on remaining two corridors before December this year. The two metro corrdiors Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi and Civil Court to Swargate will extend Metro’s run to 33 km from existing 24 km.
Civil Court to Swargate Metro Station is an underground route while Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi is elevated route. According to officials, the ongoing work on the elevated section is likley to completed by October while underground section is likely to be ready by December 2023.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two extended routes between Ruby Hall Clinic to Civil Court Metro Station and Civil Court to Phugewadi Metro Station. The Metro officials have reported a good response of commuters after the launch of these two routes. Currently the Pune Metro is operational on Vanaz to Ruby Hall Clinic via Civil Court Metro Station and Pimpri Chinchwad to Civil Court Metro Station.
