Pune Metro rail project announces Veena shaped bridge

Pune, August 19, 2020: While the work of the metro in Pune is under process, the Pune metro rail project has decided to build a Veena shaped pedestrian bridge. Veena is an instrument that comes under the Chordophone family and is used in Classical music. It also signifies the rich Indian Culture.

A cable-stayed bridge will connect Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje Udyan Metro Station at one end to Shaniwar Peth across the river. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje will be one-stop ahead of the Deccan metro station. 

This step is taken by the Pune Metro department to depict India’s rich cultural heritage.
