PCMC: 853 new COVID cases, 34 deaths reported in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri, 19 August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 853 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 141 people got discharged from hospitals while 34 people died today.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 37,716 out of which 25,399 have recovered while 719 have died. 6137 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 502 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 141 have died and 1491 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 9011 people got discharged from hospitals while 13,165 new cases and 346 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,28,642 out of which 4,46,881 people have recovered and 21033 have died. There are 1,60,413 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,767,273 across the country. Out of this, 2,037,870 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 52,889 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 676,514 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
