Hadapsar, 13th March 2021: With the urbanisation of the Hadapsar area and the inclusion of new villages in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the traffic problem in the Hadapsar area is becoming extremely severe.

To provide long-term relief to the people suffering from the traffic issues in this area, corporator Nana Bhangire approached the Chief Minister to start the Metro work soon. Replying to Bhangire’s request, CM Udhav Thackrey wrote that the work will start soon.

Bhangire also requested to create a garden at ward no. 26, which should be named after Ma-saheb Meenatai Thackeray. He said he has sent a letter to Environment Minister Aditya Thackrey, requesting him to make a garden in the ward, without cutting down the trees. This garden to be accessible to the citizens of the area. Thackrey announced that all the necessary things will be made available.

According to PMRDA, two routes are proposed for Pune metro. The Delhi metro rail corporation was ordered to prepare a project report for this route. Recently a survey was done on Shivaji Nagar- Hadapsar and Hadapsar-Saswad road. Soon the detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared by the authority.
