Pimpri, 11th April 2023: The metro is currently running from Pimpri to Phugewadi, and it will soon run up to Shivajinagar. However, it will not stop at the Khadki and Range Hills stations, as these stations have not yet been completed. Passengers who wish to go to Khadki and Range Hills will need to get off at the next station.

The Defence Ministry took a long time to hand over land for Khadki and Range Hills stations, which is why the work on setting up these stations has not yet started. Hence, passengers will not be able to board or alight at these stations.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Station to Phugewadi Station and Vanaz Station to Garware College Station lines started in 2022. Soon, the lines from Phugewadi Station to Civil Court Interchange Station and Garware College Station to Civil Court Interchange Station to Ruby Hall Station will be opened for passengers. The first phase of the metro, which covered a distance of 12 km, has been completed, and Hemant Sonawane, General Manager of Metro, informed that the 13 km route of the second phase will be started soon.

The metro rail test was conducted on the Garware station to Civil Court Interchange route on 25th November 2022, and on the Phugewadi Station to Civil Court Interchange route on 31st December 2022.

Furthermore, on 30th March 2023, a test was conducted on the Civil Court Interchange Station to Mangalwar Peth-Pune Railway Station-Ruby Hall Station route. The work on this route has reached the final stage, and the remaining work will be completed within the next month. After that, the Railway Safety Commissioner will be called for CMRS inspection of this route. As soon as their approval is received, the metro will run on the next route.

Deccan and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Park stations will be opened for passengers soon, making it easy to reach important places from PCMC to Jangli Maharaj Road, Balgandharva Rangmandir, Namdar Gopalkrishna Gokhale Road, etc., by metro. Access to these stations will be possible from Fergusson College Road through a pedestrian bridge.

The second phase of the metro, which covers 12 km, will be started, excluding the stations Khadki and Range Hills, as these stations have not yet been completed. The stations that will be included are Modern College, Fergusson College, Deccan Gymkhana, and Jungli Maharaj Road.
