Pune: MHADA Announces Allotment of 5,863 Flats in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, Overwhelming Response from Citizens

Pune, 31st October 2023: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has declared the allotment of 5,863 flats in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, catering to citizens from various income groups. The application deadline for MHADA houses was set until Monday, October 30. During this period, approximately 75,000 citizens submitted applications for these housing units.

Remarkably, out of the 75,000 applicants, 51,600 have promptly paid the required deposit amount. The deadline for deposit payments was extended until Tuesday, October 31. MHADA has made it clear that only those who have paid the deposit amount will be eligible to participate in the housing allotment draw. There will be no further extensions granted for deposit payments by MHADA.

MHADA Pune Division’s housing lottery encompasses a total of 5,863 flats, distributed across various schemes, including 403 flats under the Housing Scheme, 431 flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 344 flats under the 15% Social Housing Scheme, 2,445 flats under the First Come First Priority Scheme, and an additional 2,445 flats under the 20% Comprehensive Housing Scheme. This initiative by MHADA is expected to provide affordable housing solutions to citizens from different income brackets, addressing the increasing demand for housing in the region.
