Pune: MHT-CET Sees Record 8.94 Lakh Registrations, Highest Ever in Maharashtra

Pune, 5th March 2025: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) has witnessed a record-breaking 8,94,734 registrations this year, marking the highest number of applicants for first-year admissions to engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and medical courses. Out of these, 7.64 lakh students have completed their registration by paying the entrance exam fee.
The registration process, which began in December, closed on 28th February, reflecting a significant increase of 1,68,961 registrations compared to last year. The rising number of applicants highlights the growing competition for admission to professional courses across the state.
The MHT-CET for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), required for medical and related courses, will be held from 9th April to 17th April, while the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) exam, necessary for engineering admissions, is scheduled from 19th April to 27th April.
Over the past few years, the number of registrations has steadily increased:
