Khadakwasla, 3rd February 2024: Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Khadakwasla, Pune, the Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) stands as a distinguished tri-services training institution operating under the HQ IDS. Established in 1952 as IAT and rebranded as MILIT in 2016, it is the sole Tri-Service Technical Training Institute designed to cater to the contemporary and future technological training needs of the three Services. Air Vice Marshal Vivek Blouria currently commands this esteemed institute.

Sprawling across 500 acres along the serene backwaters of Khadakwasla Dam, amidst the Sahyadri Ranges, MILIT provides an ideal setting for education, training, leadership, and character development. Abundant with forests, wildlife, and flora and fauna, the institute is a beacon of excellence in defense technology education.

MILIT invites individuals from all walks of life to partake in the MILIT Lake View Half Marathon scheduled for February 4, 2024. Offering a 10.5 Km loop through breathtakingly scenic landscapes, the running circuit promises an unparalleled experience. Participants will have the opportunity to run alongside officers of the Indian Armed Forces, making this event a potential regular feature in the Pune running circuit.

Over 1,000 participants have registered for the marathon, showcasing the community’s enthusiasm for this unique blend of fitness and natural beauty. Registration for the event is now closed, emphasizing the significant interest generated in this distinctive marathon experience.
