Pune: Minor Boy Driving BMW Car Hits Divider, Rescued By Fire Brigade

Pune, 17th November 2021: A speeding BMW car driver hit a divider on DP Road near Mhatre bridge early morning on Wednesday. The airbag in the car saved him and his friend.

The driver, who was trapped in the vehicle, was pulled out by firefighters.

According to the fire brigade, two boys aged 17 years were in the car and going from DP Road to Mhatre bridge. Due to the high speed of the vehicle, the driver lost control and hit the divider. As a result, the engine went inside and the wheels broke. Fortunately, the airbag saved the lives of both of them in the car.

However, both the legs of the driver were stuck in the vehicle. When the fire brigade got the information, officials from the Erandwane fire station rushed to the spot.

Jagtap, a fire brigade officer, and his colleagues cut the car’s engine with the help of equipment. After pulling back the front of the vehicle, after an hour’s effort, the minor driver was released at 3:50 am. Both the boys are admitted to a private hospital.
