Pune: Minor Charged With Attempted Murder After Reckless Car Incident In Alandi

Pune, 17th June 2024: The Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident has been repeated in the Alandi area of Pune District. Similar to the Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident, a minor was seen driving a car with utmost ruthlessness in broad daylight, attempting to harm people. A video of this incident has gone viral, showing the minor speeding his car towards a group of 4 to 5 people. This incident occurred on Saturday (15th June) in Wadgaon Ghenand near Alandi at around 2 PM.
A 24-year-old woman from Wadgaon Ghenand has filed a complaint at the Alandi Police Station. A case has been registered against the 17-year-old minor, a resident of Wadgaon Ghenand. He has been charged under IPC Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (2) (punishment for criminal intimidation), and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.
According to police reports, there was a fight between the minor accused and the complainant’s family. Due to this animosity, the minor accused, driving a white car, sped rapidly and tried to run over a group of 4 to 5 people. He even struck a woman, as seen in the video that was taken. The complainant stated that the minor threatened, “I’ll crush you and kill you,” and injured her while also threatening her family. The Alandi Police are investigating this matter further.

Police Inspector Bhima Narke of Alandi Police Station informed Punekar News, “The minor accused in this case was swiftly detained after the incident. He was subsequently sent to the Juvenile Justice Board, which has remanded him. We conducted a medical test, and it confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol.”
