Pune: Minor Girl Gang-Raped For Two Years By Five Youths

Junnar, 3rd July 2021: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by five youths in Junnar taluka in Pune district. A complaint has been lodged at Alephata police station and four accused have been arrested by the police.

 

According to the information given by the police, the incident happened between 15th June 2019 to 15 June 2021. The accused became friends with the girl through Facebook, took photos with her and later threatened to make the photos viral. The accused threatened to kill her father and repeatedly brought her to a lodge on Nagar road and raped her.

 

The case has been registered against accused aged between 20 to 28 years, all residents of Alephata. The case has been registered for offence under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

 

Police seized a luxurious car and have also been searching for the fifth accused in this case. The case is being investigated by police inspector Madhukar Pawar.
