Aamir Khan And Kiran Rao Ended 15 Years Of Relationship, Couple Announced Divorce
Mumbai, 3rd July 2021: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have separated after 15 years of marriage. He has given this information by issuing an official statement. With mutual consent, they have decided to part ways.
In their statement, Aamir and Kiran said, “In our beautiful journey of 15 years, we have felt the experience, joy and happiness of a lifetime together. Our relationship has only grown with trust, respect and love. Now we would like to start a new chapter of our life. Now not as husband and wife but with each other’s co-parents and family.”
The statement further said, ‘we will continue to work together on films, Paani Foundation and other projects. Many thanks to family, friends for your continued support and understanding in our relationship. Without whom we could not have reached here. We seek best wishes and blessings from our well-wishers and hope that you, like us, will not see this divorce as the end but as the beginning of a new journey.
“We had planned about parting ways sometime back and now feel comfortable formalizing it. Despite being separated, they share their life as a family. we are dedicated parents to our son Azad whom we will nurture together.”
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao met for the first time during the shooting of the film ‘Lagaan’. Aamir was in the lead role in the film and Kiran was the assistant director. They tied the knot on 28 December 2005. They have a son Azad Rao Khan.
