Pimpri Chinchwad, 24th February 2025: The body of a 35-year-old woman from Bhosari, who had been missing for three days, was discovered in a gunny bag in an open field near Mater Chowk in Moshi on Saturday. Authorities suspect murder and have launched an investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Tannu Sahu, originally from Chhattisgarh and residing in Bhosari. “She was a daily wage worker,” confirmed Assistant Inspector Kiran Pathare of Bhosari MIDC police station.

According to Pathare, Sahu’s last outgoing call was to her husband. “We traced her number and contacted her husband, who identified her at the scene. Though he hadn’t filed a missing person’s complaint, he had been searching for her,” he stated.

Due to the advanced decomposition of the body, the exact cause of death remains undetermined. “A post-mortem has been conducted, and the viscera has been sent for chemical analysis,” Pathare said.

Sahu and her husband had moved to Pune two years ago in search of work and were living in Bhosari. “We have some leads and are investigating all possible angles to establish the motive and identify the perpetrators,” Pathare added.
