Pune: Missing Teenager Found Dead Days After Disappearing from Home
Pune, 29th September 2026: The body of a 17-year-old boy who was reported missing after allegedly being lured away from his home was found in a riverbed within the jurisdiction of Chandannagar Police Station in Pune on Tuesday morning (September 29).
The deceased has been identified as Shivkumar Babu Vakhrani (17), a resident of the Wannappa Chowk area, opposite Tadiwala Police Chowki, Pune.
According to the police, a case was registered at Bundgarden Police Station under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint filed by the boy’s mother. She alleged that an unidentified person had lured her son away from their home between 10 pm and 11 pm on September 26.
While investigating the case and searching for the missing boy, police found his body in the riverbed within the Chandannagar Police Station limits at around 8.30 am on September 29.
The body was subsequently taken to Sassoon General Hospital in Pune by Chandannagar Police for further legal formalities.
