Pune: MIT School Polling Station Faces Scrutiny As Voter’s Name Goes Missing

Kothrud, 13th May 2024: An elderly woman expressed her concern, “I’ve been voting for several years, and my name has always been on the list. But this time, it’s been removed. I’m still alive. My name is correctly listed for Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) property tax bill, so why not for voting?”
Neelima Joshi and her family arrived at the MIT School polling station in Kothrud to cast their votes. While their family names were on the voter list, Joshi’s name was missing.
Joshi lamented, “I’ve been voting at the MIT School polling station for years. Now, all my family members are listed, but not me. Why shouldn’t my name be there? That’s my question.”
In the end, she added, “Why am I listed for PMC’s property tax bill, but not for voting? Now, I can’t even ask Modiji. I’m sorry I couldn’t vote. But there’s nothing more I can do.”
