Pune: MLA Ashwini Jagtap Calls for Strong Support for Shankar Jagtap, Highlights Women’s Empowerment
Chinchwad, 15th November 2024: A grand gathering of women was held at Pimple Gurav in support of Shankar Jagtap, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Chinchwad Constituency in the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections. The event saw a large turnout of women, and Chinchwad’s sitting MLA Ashwini Jagtap addressed the gathering, offering her guidance and emphasising the importance of empowering women.
MLA Ashwini Jagtap highlighted several initiatives launched by the Mahayuti government to promote women’s welfare, including the Ladki Bahin Yojana, which provides financial assistance to women to empower them economically. She stressed that the Mahayuti government is deeply committed to the cause of women’s empowerment and has implemented multiple schemes that benefit women in the community.
In her speech, MLA Ashwini Jagtap also discussed government programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme. These initiatives focus on women’s health, education, self-reliance, and financial empowerment, further strengthening the government’s support for women’s rights.
The event was attended by key leaders of Mahayuti, including Shakuntala Dharade, Namdev Dhake, Sagar Angholkar, Shashikant Kadam, Usha Munde, Pallavi Jagtap, Shobha Jagtap, Ravina Sagar Angholkar, and Mahesh Jagtap. At the conclusion of the program, MLA Ashwini Jagtap urged the women to vote for Shankar Jagtap and assured them of his commitment to furthering their welfare.
“The Mahayuti government stands firmly behind our beloved sisters, and Shankarbhau Jagtap is dedicated to the welfare of the women in Chinchwad,” she said. The women in attendance expressed their strong support for Shankar Jagtap, pledging to vote for him in the upcoming elections to ensure his victory by a large margin.
