Pune: MLA Bachchu Kadu Faces Final Hearing in Vadgaon Court Over 2013 Prahar Roadblock Protest
Vadgaon Maval, 11th November 2023: MLA Omprakash Babarao Kadu alias Bachchu Kadu, leader of the Prahar Janshakti Party, appeared at Vadgaon Court for the final hearing related to the 2013 roadblock protest organized by Prahar Janshakti Party. The demonstration, held under Kadu’s leadership, aimed to address various concerns of the disabled community. The court case stems from a march that took place from Dehu to Mumbai on February 4, 2013.
During the march, which saw active participation from Prahar members and supporter. Advocate Rajendra Gade-Patil is handling the court proceedings for MLA Bachchu Kadu and his colleagues, who attended the final hearing on Thursday. The court recorded the responses of all involved parties during the session, which lasted approximately three and a half hours.
MLA Bachu Kadu, taking advantage of his time in Vadgaon, also visited the Tehsildar office and Maval Panchayat Samiti. Notably, the struggle and agitation led by Kadu and his organization played a pivotal role in the establishment of a separate the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
In a positive development, MLA Kadu informed that Rs 10,000 has been deposited in the accounts of disabled individuals on the occasion of Diwali, showcasing the positive impact of their advocacy.
Additionally, MLA Kadu extended his support to General Motors workers who have been on a month-long chain hunger strike, ensuring them that the government would advocate for their fair rights. The meeting exemplifies Kadu’s commitment to championing the causes of various sections of society.
