Pune, 29th November 2024: The rapidly growing population of Vadgaonsheri constituency has led to a surge in both the number of vehicles and traffic congestion, particularly on the Pune-Nagar road. This has become a significant challenge for residents in the area. To alleviate this issue, newly elected MLA Bapusaheb Pathare has taken steps to expedite the completion of the long-pending Kharadi-Shivane road project, located in the riverbed.

On Wednesday, Pathare met with Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale, Additional Municipal Commissioner Prithviraj BP, and other senior officials. During the meeting, they discussed the current status of the project, including pending land acquisitions, necessary funding, and the next steps for its completion. The municipal administration is expected to conduct an inspection of the project in the coming days.

“It is crucial to prioritize the completion of the Kharadi-Shivane road,” Pathare emphasized. “This alternative route will help significantly reduce traffic congestion. I am working closely with the municipal administration to ensure this project is completed as soon as possible. The difficulties faced by citizens due to neglect and roadwork delays over the last decade will soon be a thing of the past. With the cooperation of the municipal administration, we are committed to completing this work promptly.”

Pathare expressed confidence that, with concerted efforts, the project would provide much-needed relief to the people and ease the growing traffic problems in the area.
