Kharadi, 21st October 2026: Vadgaonsheri MLA Bapusaheb Pathare has marked his birthday with social initiatives aimed at supporting families affected by drought-like conditions and helping needy households celebrate Diwali. In view of the prevailing situation in Maharashtra and the recent demise of his elder brother, Pandharinath alias Annasaheb Pathare, the legislator decided against holding a grand birthday celebration this year.

As part of the initiative, more than ₹1 lakh was collected for the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Residents of the Vadgaonsheri Assembly constituency also contributed large quantities of essential food items, including wheat, rice, cooking oil, tur dal, sugar, salt, spices and other grocery supplies for needy families.

Pathare thanked residents for responding to the appeal made by his family and supporting the initiative.

On the occasion of his birthday, Shri Kalbhairavnath Vikas Pratishthan, Kharadi, also launched an ambulance service for residents of the Vadgaonsheri Assembly constituency. The service is intended to help people access medical assistance during emergencies.

In a separate initiative, foodgrain and grocery kits will be distributed over the next few days to needy families in Sarate Wadgaon, Takli A., Dadegaon, Anandwadi and Pimpri Ghata villages in Ashti taluka of Beed district.

Explaining the decision to forgo a grand birthday celebration, Pathare said the drought-like situation in 2026 and his elder brother’s demise had prompted him to focus on social work instead.

He said the primary objective was to provide relief to needy families and help farmers and rural households celebrate Diwali. He also expressed gratitude to residents who contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and donated essential supplies for distribution among beneficiaries.
