Pune: MLA Sunil Shelke Applauds Pavana Lake Tent Operators For Elevating Tourism In Maval

Maval, 1st December 2023: Maval taluka, known for its breathtaking natural beauty, has become a tourist hotspot, drawing visitors to its scenic landscapes.

MLA Sunil Shelke has credited the tent operators near Pavana Dam for playing a pivotal role in enhancing tourism in the region. Former state minister Bala Bhegde has also expressed his support for the tent operators, emphasizing their contribution to the local tourism industry.

Tourists frequent the Lonavala area in Maval taluka, with attractions like Bhushi Dam experiencing a surge in visitors during the rainy season. The forts in Karla and surrounding talukas remain popular throughout the year. Pavana Dam is another destination that attracts tourists, and the tent operators play a crucial role by providing accommodation options.

MLA Shelke voiced his opinion that the presence of tent operators has significantly contributed to the growth of tourism in Maval taluka. Their services near Pavana Dam have not only facilitated comfortable stays for tourists but have also added to the overall appeal of the region.

Former minister Bala Bhegde took a proactive approach by convening a meeting with tent operators in the Pavana Dam area of Maval taluka. During the meeting, various issues were discussed, and Bhegde assured the tent operators of his commitment to resolving their problems. Furthermore, he stated that the tent operators would continue to voice their concerns until rehabilitation measures for dam victims are undertaken.
