Pune: More Than 600 Unauthorized Speed-Breakers In Pimpri-Chinchwad City
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 14th February 2023: In Pimpri Chinchwad city, unauthorized speed breakers have been built on a large scale for the last many years. Because of this many accidents have come to the fore. Even the State Human Rights Commission has reprimanded the municipal administration. There are more than 600 unauthorized speed-breakers in the city. The commission has ordered the removal of all unauthorized speed breakers in the city.
In the city, a large number of speed breakers have been installed on the main roads as well as in lanes. According to the rules of the Indian Road Congress (IRC), the speed limiter should be four inches 13 feet. However, unauthorized speed breakers have been installed in the city by not following the rules.
Although these speed breakers are suitable for controlling the speed of vehicles, there is increased evidence of accidents due to unauthorized speed breakers. The State Human Rights Commission has reprimanded the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) for unauthorized blockades on such a large scale. Notices have been given by the commission to remove illegal speed breakers.
