Pune, 12th January 2026: The onset of the Mrig Bahar season has led to a gradual rise in sweet lime (mosambi) arrivals at the Gultekdi Market Yard, offering some relief to traders after weeks of limited supply. Despite the increased inflow, retail prices have remained steady, supported by consistent demand in both wholesale and local markets.

According to traders, mosambi consignments are largely arriving from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. In the wholesale market, prices currently range between ₹100 and ₹500 for three dozen, and ₹30 to ₹300 for four dozen, depending on quality and size. At the retail level, sweet lime continues to sell at ₹80 to ₹100 per kg.

Ber Prices Rise Ahead of Makar Sankranti:
With Makar Sankranti just two days away, demand for ber (Indian jujube) has increased sharply. However, traders said that severe cold weather has restricted arrivals, resulting in an approximate 10 per cent increase in prices across varieties.

Pomegranate Prices Stable; State Crop Yet to Arrive

Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s pomegranate season is still nearly a month away. Current supplies are being sourced from Karnataka and Gujarat, and a balanced demand-supply situation has helped prices remain largely unchanged. Traders noted that prices of most other fruits have also shown minimal variation compared to the previous week.
