Pune: Mother Files Complaint After Delivery Boy Molests Daughter at Home in Wagholi
Wagholi, 8th November 2024: A delivery boy behaved inappropriately towards a minor girl who was alone at home in the Wagholi area. The police are currently searching for the delivery boy, who fled after committing the obscene acts. The girl’s mother has filed a complaint at the Wagholi Police Station, and a case has been registered against the delivery boy under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012.
The victim and her family reside in Wagholi, and the girl’s mother works as a housemaid. On the day of the incident, the mother went to work in a nearby society. Meanwhile, the delivery boy approached their house. He informed the girl that a parcel had arrived for her mother and that he wanted to deliver it. The girl contacted her mother, who instructed her to pay Rs 100 to receive the parcel.
Taking advantage of the fact that no one else was home, the delivery boy entered the house under the pretence of delivering the parcel. He asked the girl for water, and after she fetched it, he began to engage in inappropriate behaviour with her. The girl, terrified and crying, was given Rs 100 by the delivery boy, who told her not to be afraid. He then attempted to molest her again, prompting the girl to scream in fear.
After threatening her, the delivery boy fled the scene. The girl later informed her mother about the incident. The police are searching for the delivery boy, who is believed to be around 30 years old. Assistant Police Inspector Vinayak Ahire is leading the investigation.
