Pune, 14th July 2026: The mother of Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly murdered by his fiancé Siya Goyal and her boyfriend Ketan Chaudhary, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking justice for her son, urging him to ensure that those responsible are punished and that the case is not delayed.

In an emotional email sent to the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday night, Rakhi Agarwal said she had never imagined she would have to seek justice for her own child. “Like every mother, I dreamt of seeing Ketan build a happy life, get married and grow old with us. Instead, I had to perform the last rites of my son,” she wrote.

Describing the family’s grief, she said Ketan’s death had left an irreplaceable void. She added that her father-in-law died just 20 days after Ketan’s death, unable to bear the loss of his grandson, leaving the family to cope with two bereavements in quick succession.

“I am not asking for sympathy or any special favour. I am only asking for justice,” Agarwal wrote, urging the Prime Minister to ensure that the case receives the attention it deserves and that justice is delivered without unnecessary delay. She said those responsible for her son’s death must face the strictest punishment under the law.

Appealing to the Prime Minister not to let the case become “just another case file”, she wrote that Ketan was “someone’s son, someone’s grandson, someone’s brother, but to me, he was my whole world”. She ended the letter saying she hoped that one day she would be able to tell her son, “Beta… you finally got justice.”

Ketan Agarwal, a 25-year-old Pune-based real estate businessman, was allegedly murdered at Lohagad Fort on June 18 in what police say was a premeditated conspiracy hatched by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary. The death was initially reported as an accidental fall while the couple was trekking at the fort. However, Pune Rural Police later arrested the duo, alleging that Goyal signalled Chaudhary to push Agarwal into a 400-foot gorge after multiple failed attempts to kill him. Investigators claim the murder was planned to eliminate Agarwal ahead of their scheduled wedding later this year.
