Pune: MP Shrirang Barne Secures Candidature From Maval For 2024 Lok Sabha Elections
Maval, 30th November 2023: In a significant political development, MP Srirang Barne from the Mahayuti alliance has secured his candidature for the Maval constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The decision was finalized in a meeting attended by prominent figures, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Expressing confidence in his candidacy, MP Shrirang Barne asserted that his victory is certain, emphasizing his endorsement by Mahayuti. However, this declaration has not gone without its share of political banter, as Sunil Shelke questioned the reliance on the charisma of PM Narendra Modi and taunted Bala Bhegde, questioning the decision-making capabilities in the BJP.
The Shiv Sena MP Barne’s constituency within the Shinde group is currently contested by both the BJP and Ajit Pawar’s faction within the alliance. Responding to these claims, MP Barne asserted that his lead would be decisive among the winning candidates across Maharashtra’s 48 Lok Sabha constituencies.
In addressing allegations made by MLA Sunil Shelke, MP Barne questioned the motivations behind the accusations and emphasized his commitment to the voters. He underscored that any accusations made out of political hatred or revenge are not within his obligation to address, and his primary commitment lies with the electorate.
MP Barne further highlighted the decision-making hierarchy within the alliance, stating that decisions regarding seat allocations are primarily made by national leaders like Amit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis in consultation with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He asserted that beyond these leaders, he does not see anyone else having the authority to make such decisions.
In response to potential shifts in political dynamics, MP Barne suggested that if the NCP believes its strength has increased, it should assert its demands within the alliance. He concluded by pointing out his past electoral successes and expressing a lack of interest in responding to current speculation about his candidacy, highlighting the need for others to clarify their positions within the grand alliance.
