Pune: MPSC Mains Exam 2022 General Merit List Released, Vinayak Patil Secures First Position

Pune, 18th January 2024: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced the General Merit List for the MPSC Main Examination 2022. Vinayak Patil secured the first rank in the state, marking a significant achievement. The list also includes Dhananjay Bangar at the second position and Saurabh Gawande at the third position, with a total of 1830 candidates making it to the list.

The MPSC Main Exam 2022 was conducted for 633 posts across 23 cadres. This exam is pivotal in the recruitment process, drawing attention from candidates across Maharashtra.

General Merit List Details:

– First Position: Vinayak Patil
– Second Position: Dhananjay Bangar
– Third Position: Saurabh Gawande
– Total Candidates: 1830

The General Merit List is provisional and may be subject to changes based on the verification of certificates and documents during the final result process. Additionally, the merit order of candidates might change, and the list is announced subject to the resolution of judicial cases filed in Courts and Tribunals.

The process of submitting preference options for the examination posts will begin on January 22. Candidates need to select a preference order between 1 to 23 for the notified cadre posts. The preferences submitted will determine the candidate’s consideration for selection to the posts according to the given order of preference. Preferences are to be submitted online, and the last date for submission is January 29.

Candidates are advised that requests to submit or change preference orders of cadres and posts will not be entertained after the specified deadline.

Vinayak Patil, who secured the first position, expressed “I am originally from Bhudargad in Kolhapur district. My parents are farmers. It was my second attempt at civil service. I got selected for the post of Deputy Education Officer on my first attempt. I graduated from Fergusson College in Statistics.”
