Pune, 17th February 2022: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has appealed to the citizens that they should inform on WhatsApp about power outages, electric wires falling or hanging or fuse boxes being absent or live electric wires being exposed due to construction or any other thing that compromises the security of citizens due to electricity in rural and urban areas of the district.
Pune Regional Director Ankush Nale has appealed to the people to co-operate with the MSEDCL to make people’s lives secure.
He also asked the people not to stick bills, pamphlets or posters on electric poles or feeder pillars as there is a chance of an electrical mishap while sticking the posters which will be dangerous to the citizens.
Complaints like wires hanging on the ground, broken lid of fuse box or live wires being exposed can be conveyed to the MSEDCL through the Whatsapp numbers 7875767123 (for Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad city, Haveli taluka and Mulshi, Velhe, Maval, Khed, Junnar and Ambegaon talukas) and 7875768074 (For Baramati, Indapur, Daund, Shirur, Purandar). These numbers only accept information/complaints from the power distribution system, including photos and full address or location where there is a security risk. The citizens should inform through a text message on WhatsApp instead of calling on the given numbers.
Information or complaints along with photos received through WhatsApp will be immediately sent to the concerned divisional and sub-divisional offices. Similarly, after the repair work of the electrical system is done, the concerned complainants will be informed through WhatsApp by sending the photo after the repair. Proposals will be forwarded to the senior officials in case of need of approval, funding or shifting from the senior offices for redressal of some grievances sent by the citizens and the concerned complainants will be informed accordingly.
