Pune: MTDC’s Renovated Tourist Resort On Sinhgad Fort Inaugurated

Pune/Mumbai, 18th August 2021: Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday virtually inaugurated the renovated tourist resort at Sinhgad Fort. The resort is operated by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC).

This tourist accommodation has rooms and a restaurant. MTDC also has a museum and an open amphitheatre for martial art (Mardani Khel), informed MTDC regional manager Deepak Harne.

He said that COVID preventive measures are in place at the resort keeping in mind the pandemic.

While inaugurating the resort, CM Thackeray said that Maharashtra has natural, historic, mythological and geographic tourism heritage along with forests, old forts, caves, temples, seashore and wildlife which is being harnessed through various initiatives by the tourism department.

He expressed confidence that tourists from across the state and globe would be attracted towards Maharashtra which would usher in tourism development and boost employment generation and the economy of the state.
