Pune-Mumbai Deccan Express departs with all women employees

Pune, March 5, 2020: The Pune Railway Division gave importance to ‘Nari Shakti’ by deploying only women employees in the Pune-Mumbai Deccan express, which has got the swanky LHB coaches.

In the program organized at Pune station Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division, Renu Sharma flagged off the train, welcoming women railway employees, especially posted loco pilots, guards, ticket checking staffs, railway protection force (RPF) etc. in this train. She also interacted with the passengers on the train and gave information about various facilities.

In this train, Loco pilot Shraddha Tambe and guard Radha Chalawadi were stationed. A Nukkad Natak based on women empowerment and facilities being provided to women passengers in the trains was also organized at the Pune station, which was appreciated by the passengers.

On this occasion Additional Divisional Railway Manager Neelam Chandra, Railway officials and staff as well as large number of women, passengers, were present.
