Pune, 11th August 2026: People travelling from Pune towards Mumbai on Wednesday, August 12, will have to take note of a temporary traffic diversion on the Pune-Mumbai carriageway of the Connecting Link on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway.

According to authorities, the Pune-to-Mumbai carriageway will remain closed between 12 noon and 3 pm on August 12. The temporary closure has been planned to facilitate maintenance and repair work along with a mock drill.

During the three-hour closure, vehicles travelling towards Mumbai will be diverted through the ghat section of the old Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Motorists heading towards Mumbai from Pune have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the traffic instructions at the site to avoid inconvenience and delays.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai-to-Pune carriageway of the Connecting Link will remain operational during the maintenance and mock drill. Traffic travelling towards Pune will therefore continue to use the Connecting Link as usual.

The temporary traffic arrangement will remain in place only during the scheduled three-hour period, following which the Pune-to-Mumbai carriageway is expected to resume normal operations.

Commuters travelling from Pune to Mumbai on August 12 are advised to factor in the diversion while planning their journey and allow additional travel time.
