Pune: Mumbai-to-Perne Traffic Diversions Announced for Vijaystambh Ceremony on January 1, 2025

Wagholi, 20th December 2024: In preparation for the Vijaystambh greeting ceremony at Mauje Perne, on Pune-Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) road, in Haveli taluka on January 1, 2025, In-charge District Magistrate Santosh Patil has announced changes to the traffic plan to avoid congestion and ensure smooth flow of vehicles during the event.

As per the order, vehicles of people who want to pay their respects at the Vijastambh and arriving from Mumbai will be diverted from the old Mumbai-Pune Highway Road. The diverted route will pass through Vadgaon Maval, Dehu Road, Nigdi, Charholi, Alandi Markal (Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate), and Tulapur, eventually leading to the Perne Vijaystambh. The aim is to reduce the risk of traffic jams and maintain law and order during the high-traffic event.

Authorities are urging all commuters to follow the new traffic guidelines to ensure a safe and smooth experience during the ceremony.
